Barn Fire at Red Wing Barn

On July 30th, a fire started inside one of the barns at Red Wing. Some of my favorite memories from College came from that barn. I rode on the Penn State IHSA team for 5 seasons. Most of our shows were hosted at Red Wing so I not only got to know the horses there, but I also got to ride some more than once. After IHSA, I would run into the barn owner Amber time to time, and it was always so great to see her. She was always sweet and such a hard working lady. Amber did so much for her students, and I really admired her for that. Watching the video of a police officer rescuing a horse I know well, Phoebe, brought me to tears (more than usual). I remember having one of my best rides with her. She was always a team favorite. I am so happy they were able to get her out safely!!!
